This data identifies roadway segments eligible for federal funding, and is used by state DOTD staff, planners, and federal partners to support funding allocation, project tracking, compliance reporting, and long-range transportation planning. The data is created, owned, and maintained by the GIS office. GP_FederalAid is derived using a geoprocessing toolbox from the input Road and Highways events NHS, FunctionalSystem, FedAidSys1991, GP_Parish, and HighwayNumber and is updated on an annual basis. It is considered authoritative for determining the Federal Aid status of roadways. The service was published on 02/09/2026 to be used in the Federal Aid Eligibility viewer application for reference by DOTD leadership.
