Description: DOTD’s LRSID_Routes dataset is the foundational linear referencing framework used by Louisiana to identify, locate, and manage public roadway information across the State’s transportation network. The system assigns unique route identifiers and measure-based referencing that allow roadway characteristics, events, assets, and transportation data to be spatially aligned and consistently maintained over time. This network serves as Louisiana’s official contribution to the Federal Highway Administration’s All Roads Network of Linear Referenced Data (ARNOLD), which integrates all public roads into a standardized national framework. Using this linear referenced network, Louisiana annually develops and submits Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) data to FHWA to support federal transportation planning, funding allocation, system performance analysis, and national roadway reporting requirements.
